YWAM Norways center Grimerud has adopted and have a mission work amongst the unreached and displaced Shan people from Burma.

Many Shans are living as refugees in Thailand, and it is here YWAM Norway mainly has a ministry.

At the present time two ministries are taking place:

• One ministry that is amongst the Shan students in Chiang Mai. A small group are gathering each week in prayer and Bible study. It has happened some exiting things here lately, many of them have been saved.
  
• It is also a ministry in a smaller town further north by the border to Burma. Her is a children ministry and help ministry in some Shan villages.
