The Northern Lights Discipleship Training School is a place to see God radically move in your life. At the northernmost base in the world, surrounded by stunning mountains and fjords, you will get to know yourself, God and your passion and purpose in His kingdom.

This DTS is for those who long to step out in faith and follow Jesus, to push the limits of their life and know God in new, incredible ways. At Borgen our heart is for the North, Youth and the Outdoors, and our DTS will include youth ministry, outdoor trips and adventures, and sharing the love of Jesus to the Arctic. The DTS is a full-time 7 month program that consists of two parts: lecture phase and outreach phase.

Outdoor DTS at YWAM Ålesund is a six-month discipleship training school designed to strengthen your body, spirit, and soul through teaching, community, and opportunities to encounter God in His creation. You’ll venture into Nordic landscapes to hike, climb, camp, and more, alongside a passionate group of young people who will encourage you to go further than you thought possible.

The Creative Discipleship Training School is a course designed to train and equip artists with disciplines and perspectives that shape creative living as disciples of Jesus. This six-month course will take you deeper in relationship with God, help you develop your character and voice as an artist and follower of Jesus, and prepare you for missions in all parts of society.

Wind and Waves is called to catalyse young leaders with a burning heart for Jesus into creating a movement that brings the kingdom of God to the extreme sports community and beyond. We want you to be marked by; a Christ centred lifestyle with a zeal for prayer and worship, risk taking with the Holy Spirit, fundament in scripture and a passion to play and explore in His creation. We are believing God for sending the winds of His Spirit and the Waves of revival in the places we go.

The Reach DTS is a unique and exciting DTS that focuses on reaching The Least, The Last, and The Lost. It’s about taking the Gospel to the nations and sharing God’s heart of mercy and justice through missions. This is a school that will take you to the ends of the earth and go the extra mile to reach those unreached by the Gospel. We want Our students to walk in a lifestyle of worship, intercession, excitement for the word, humility and servitude, an unbound faith, and a heart for adventure.

ZEAL DTS is for those who want a faith marked by fire, depth, and purpose—not rushed, shallow, or performative, but rooted in Jesus and lived out in everyday life.

This is discipleship for real life. Learning to walk with God in identity, relationships, creativity, and calling. A faith that lasts beyond the classroom. God is the Creator of all things. His presence isn’t limited to church spaces—it’s woven into culture, creation, humor, work, and daily rhythms. ZEAL DTS trains you to recognize Him there and reflect His character wherever you go.

Are you training to be a plumber, electrician, builder — or working with your hands in any trade — and wondering how your faith fits in the workplace? Then Changemaker DTS is for you! This Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM Skien is an 8-month journey designed for young adults who want to grow deeper with God and learn how to live out their faith in everyday life, especially in the workplace. This tailor-made DTS is built for you who work or wants to work in practical trades. It includes teaching on the Bible, missions, and discipleship. This is followed by a 2-month outreach where you’ll put into action what you've learned in the nations. You will get to practice what you learn and get real-world experiences in your trade throughout the DTS. You will learn to serve and grow on the worksite, whether you’re just starting out or already working. Changemaker DTS will equip you to follow Jesus boldly and bring His light into your work and the world.

One of the places we invest in as a base is the country of Iceland. During lecture phase, you will get the opportunity to visit this beautiful country! The week you are here you will get a week of teaching, and also time to evangelize and partner with some of the ministries in Iceland.

Iceland is known for its beautiful nature and stunning views. While you are in Iceland, you will get the opportunity to experience and see some some of the nature of Iceland!

The Backpack DTS is a unique school that brings elements of the adventurous and minimalistic backpacking culture into the DTS outreach. It is called to equip young leaders to bring the simple gospel to the ends of the earth. We want to see them understand the gospel in its fullness and use it to build the kingdom of God wherever they go.

Our DTS has different outreach teams that will travel at the same time but to different places. The outreach tracks will have special focuses such as hiking and trekking, the 10/40 window or blindfolded globetrotting. Check out our different outreach tracks to find out more.
